Many examinations or treatments are not or no longer covered by statutory health insurance. These can be referred to as “individual health services (german: IgeL)“, for which you bear the costs yourself. For some it makes sense to additionally have the statutory health insurance check-up through an ultrasound scan or additional Laboratory parameters; for the others, a certificate for a sports club or a travel vaccination may be necessary. These are examples of IgeL services.

However, these services make sense and can be very useful for diagnostic and therapeutic treatment.

Here is a list of the variety of individual health services we offer in our practice.

Diagnosis 

• Duplex sonography of the carotid arteries, veins and peripheral arteries

• ABI (Ankle Brachial Index): Blood pressure measurement on the arms and legs with the Doppler (ultrasound device) to screen for peripheral circulatory disorders

• Sonography of the abdominal organs, kidneys and thyroid

• Pulmonary function analysis

• ECG, Holter ECG

• Long-term blood pressure measurement

• Stress test with measurement of heart rate variability (NILAS device)

• Detecting the causes of functional disorders with the body scan

Laboratory tests 

• Blood group determination, check of organ parameters, vitamins, iron and minerals, check of arteriosclerosis risks, check of coagulation disorders, Test for sexually transmitted diseases, stool tests for dysbiosis, blood and stool tests for cancer prevention in those who are not insured

Therapy procedures 

• Accompanied intestinal cleansing

• Infusions/injections: iron infusion for severe deficiency, vitamin C infusion for infections, booster injections to strengthen the immune system, vitamin B12 injections for substitution after gastric surgery

Certificates 

• for work, authorities, leisure and facilities such as kindergartens, old people's homes, etc.

Please note that medical certificates are expert statements that may also require an investigation.

Patient's Advance Directive 

• Discuss the questions and explain the importance of decisions

free time activities 

• Travel vaccination advice, travel vaccinations

• Advice on the risk of thrombosis before flying

• Fitness assessment for certain sports or trips

• Certificate of illness for travel cancellation insurance

• Career suitability examination

• Driving license examination according to § 11 and § 48

• English medication certificate

Prevention 

• Provision according to the health insurance benefit for those who are not insured

• Additions to the fund's pension program

• Prevention with special focuses, such as arteriosclerosis, chronic lung or heart disease
